BEN ELLIS
Ben Ellis has been a member of the YMCA Theatre since the age of ten and has appeared in many YMCA Productions, playing main parts in pantomimes, cabarets and summer shows. Ben has appeared on “Any Dream Will Do” on BBC 1 each Saturday evening and managed to make it to the semi-finals.
Ben has been appearing in the new stage musical version of “Hairspray”, playing one of the lead parts of “Link”. The show was at the Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End of London where he appeared alongside star names including Michael Ball. Ben received an award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical on the 24th February 2008, presented by Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers Choice Awards.

DANNY RHODES Danny Rhodes has been a member of the YMCA Theatre since the age of eleven and has appeared in many YMCA Productions, playing main parts in pantomimes, cabarets and summer shows. Danny has appeared in “Grease Is The Word” on ITV 1 each Saturday evening for a number of weeks and managed to make the semi-finals. Danny has since played a lead part in “Dancing Queen”. The tour covered the whole of the UK and China. Danny is now involved in final auditions for the setting up of a new ‘Boy Band’.
Danny held a special thank you show for the people of Scarborough at the YMCA Theatre on Tuesday 5th June 2007, raising £3,533 for the YMCAs work in Scarborough. A night which will be remembered for many years to come! He has since presented a further cheque to the YMCA Leisure centre for £870. Danny is at the moment performing on large cruise liners.. |

JAKE PRATT Jakey “P” has appeared in many shows at the YMCA Theatre, where he recently performed his own show with guests after reaching the semi-finals of “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2007,
Jake now appears each week on television in “The Green Balloon Club” on CBeebies.
Jake is now appearing in the West End Production of “Billy Elliot” playing the part of “Michael”. |

Ben visited the YMCA Theatre on Saturday 24th January 2009 and presented a special “Hairspray” theatre workshop for local children. Scarborough Evening News Report & Video Ben recently played Peter Pan in “Peter Pan”, in the Hull Theatre’s pantomime, appearing with Keith Harris & Paul Nicholas. He is soon to appear in “The Hostage” at the Southwark Theatre. |

Nick Bagnall Nick was a member of the YMCA Theatre from the age of eight, he appeared in many YMCA Productions which included “The Magical Musical Time Machine” performed in front of some 5,000 people at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre in 1982. He also appeared in many YMCA pantomimes and summer shows, which included playing the lead role in “Oliver”, when he played the Artful Dodger. In the past few years, Nick has appeared in many stage and television productions, including “Coronation Street”. He has just directed “Entertaining Mr Sloane” at the National Theatre, which stars Matthew Horne and Imedla Staunton |

Mikey North Mikey North appeared in many productions at the YMCA Theatre and is now playing Weatherfield bad boy “Gary Windass” in Coronation Street. |

Joe Maw Joe Maw appeared in many productions at the YMCA Theatre and is now appearing in “Tracy Beaker Returns”, a children’s comedy programme on CBBC. |
